Painted Porch, one of the most charming destinations in the Berkshires, specializes in the finest country antiques and accessories. All year round, owners Carol and Larry Solomon search the countryside’s of France, England and Canada in search of unique pieces to add to their extensive collection. Known for their “one of kind “store counters and unusual accessories, everything is tastefully displayed in their 1815 colonial and barn.
Carol and Larry have been vacationing in the Berkshires and collecting French and English country antiques for more than 25 years. In the summer of 2001 they decided to turn their passion into a profession and opened Painted Porch Country Antiques in Sheffield, Ma. In that time Painted Porch has been featured in Architectural Digest, Country Home and Berkshire Living magazines.
When Visiting Painted Porch, you will see a vast assortment of pine and cherry sideboards and buffets, as well as original painted cupboards. There is always a selection of country dining tables and chairs, and Painted Porch is known for their long dresser bases and shop counters, to be used as center islands. Unique accessories, such as pub signs, game boards, and grape hods are always on display.
